What is an End of Life Doula?
An End of Life Doula is a non-medical professional who is trained to care for terminally ill people from a holistic perspective during the death process.
We can assist people before a terminal illness diagnosis by offering education, end of life planning (advance directives, Do Not Resuscitate orders, etc.), funeral/ceremonial planning, legacy planning, etc.
We assist after a diagnosis through: end of life care, assisting the primary caretaker, “comforting space creation”, energy work, anticipatory grief support, collaborating with palliative care and hospice, etc.
We also offer services after death, such as: ceremony, grief support, and assistance to the family if needed.
